Vivian: Barriers to walking and biking to school

“Some challenges to getting to school is that it is hard to find a ride because parents have work or siblings to take care of, so it becomes difficult to find someone to take you to school. To encourage walking and biking, neighborhoods should add safe sidewalks where a person can cross the road without the worry of being hit by a car, add the cross walk button at intersections, make sure that appropriate speed limit signs are seen in school zones, and that there are clean sidewalks and more bike lanes for people riding bicycles to school.”
